Inside, you’ll be warmly greeted by a friendly staff who are dedicated to assisting you in every way. The office is equipped with some of today’s most advanced dental technology, such as cone-beam commuted technology; computer-based imaging, which produces high-resolution of your teeth and gums and allows for a more thorough evaluation. In addition, they use dual wave length laser, Digital scanning, digital X-rays, and much more, making them the obvious choice for safety.
Dr. Carmen Ramos – Committed to providing high quality periodontal care to her patients.
The eighth child in a family of 11, Carmen Ramos learned very early in life to wait, work and earn for what she wants. After receiving an academic scholarship in college and finishing second in dental school, she persevered through 4 more years of training to be what she has always dreamed of, becoming a periodontist. She was honored by the California Society of Periodontists for the Most Outstanding Research during her residency at the VA-UCLA program. She was an associate professor at the Advanced Education General Dentistry at UCLA, and became a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists
What Dr. Ramos is sure of is that the field of Periodontics is ever-changing. That is why she considers herself ‘forever-the student’ attending numerous training and education seminars and is an active member of several organizations. She is committed to providing advance periodontal care using state of the art technology with a pampering touch.
She has been married for 36 years and has two children and two grandchildren. They enjoy hiking, camping, back packing and travelling all over the world together.
Dr. Connie Lee
Dr. Connie Lee received her dental education at NYU College of Dentistry and specialized in Periodontics at the UCLA School of Dentistry. Prior to specializing in Periodontics, she worked as a general dentist, and this experience has instilled in her the importance of a collaborative effort among dental practitioners and physicians to provide comprehensive care to patients. Her mission is to serve the community by providing a safe, comfortable environment dedicated to providing periodontal care and to establish a place where patients can trust that they are in caring hands. Dr. Lee has a passion for dentistry and healthcare. She is devoted to learning better ways to achieve health, comfort, function, and aesthetic outcomes for each of her patients. Dr. Lee is fluent in Korean and conversational in Japanese and Spanish When she isn’t practicing dentistry, Dr. Lee likes to wind down by reading a good book or playing fingerstyle guitar.
Dr. Otomo-Corgel
Joan Otomo-Corgel, DDS, MPH, FACD, FICD 2024
Joan is a graduate of Fresno State University BA Zoology, UCLA School of Dentistry DDS, UCLA School of Public Health MPH, West Los Angeles VAMC General Practice Residency and Postdoctoral Periodontics Residency. She is currently a Full Clinical Professor in the UCLA School of Dentistry, Department of Periodontics and faculty and chair of periodontal research at the Greater Los Angeles VA Health Care Center Dental Service.
Dr. Otomo-Corgel is the Past President of the following organizations: American Academy of Periodontology, Western Society of Periodontology, California Society of Periodontists, National VA Periodontists, Los Angeles Dental Society and the UCLA Chapter of OKU. She is currently on the Board of Directors of the California Dental Association. She is the immediate past chair of the UCLA School of Dentistry Board of Counselors and the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation. Joan is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration where she chairs their credential committee. She is moderate sedation examiner for CALAOMS and is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. She lectures extensively on periodontal medicine, medical emergencies, over-the-counter dental products, and clinical periodontal topics. She has contributed to over 60+ journals and texts.
Joan is currently a member of the Fresno State University Foundation Board of Governors and on the School of Math and Science Advisory Council. She is a Trustee of Mount St. Mary’s University and was a past Governor’s appointee to the California State University Board of Trustees.
Dr. Otomo-Corgel and Rich Corgel live in Manhattan Beach where they have raised 2 children, John “Bucky” and Stefanie. Bucky is married to Jennifer Corgel and have 2 children, Elle and Maisy. He is an LA City Firefighter and Jen teaches at American Martyrs School in Manhattan Beach. Stefanie is a professional fitness model/trainer and an LA County Lifeguard.
