Piezosurgery® device have been developed specifically for cutting bone tissue while minimizing trauma to the soft tissue. Similar to a laser, the ultrasonic microvibrations of this device creates micrometric cutting action that provides ultimate surgical precision and intra-operative sensitivity.
The selective cutting action cuts bone without damaging the soft tissue, maximizes safety and reducing healing time for our patients.
All of this is possible while operating with high intra-operative visibility and a blood-free surgical site. It can be used for atraumatic extractions, periodontal regeneration, crown lengthening, and dental implant placement including sinus lifts. Dr. Ramos is excited to be able to offer this breakthrough technology to provide the most atraumatic and minimally invasive treatment possible to our patients.
Advantages of using Cone Beam CT (CBCT)
Dr. Ramos offers advanced dental implant placement by using Guided Implant Surgery technology. Guided Implant Surgery is a computer generated guidance system utilizing 3D Imaging. Guided Implant Surgery is better for the patient because it requires a very minor surgery to place the implant with precise accuracy, and superior results. Without Guided Implant Surgery, the patient might experience a larger surgical procedure than is necessary, with less than ideal results.
CBCT imaging is also ideal in pre-surgical assessment of impacted teeth, dental and bone pathology, sinus pathology, and orthodontic positioning of teeth.
